My Skincare Essentials

Skincare has been extremely important to me since my early teens. I have always been very adamant about maintaining a consistent skincare routine and using top-rated products.  No matter how tired I may be, I never go to bed without washing and moisturizing my face. I stay away from the sun and drink tons of water on a daily basis. I find that having a clear, healthy, and hydrated complexion helps me feel more confident!

I’ve always been very selective of what products I use. My skin type tends to be very oily so I’ve struggled to find products that work well with my skin but also yield results that I strive for. Here are my current favorite skincare essentials that I am loving.

Noevir NHS Foaming Cleanser- I have been using this cleanser since I was 13 years old and I will probably be using it for the rest of my life!  I don’t go a day without using it. All you need is a pea-size amount and water to activate the formula. This definitely is my all-time favorite skincare product!

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face– Winter season tends to harshly dry out my skin so this year I was on the hunt for a moisturizer that would help combat the dryness without making my skin extra oily. I got a sample of this Fresh moisturizer and I fell in love! It hydrated my skin so well but not to the point where my skin was overwhelmed. When my face is in need of extra hydration, I can put a layer on top of my Purity moisturizer. They both go great together! Plus, the smell is so fresh and clean. Definitely will continue buying it over and over again!

Facial Water Toner– I’ve recently gotten into using toners so I decided to pick up this Rose Water Toner from Trader Joe’s while I was waiting in line to pay for groceries. First thing out of the shower or after I wash my face, I generously spritz it all over. Rosewater helps maintain the skin’s pH balance, controls excess oil (yes please!), and helps reduce the redness of irritated skin. Plus the scent is wonderful and it feels extremely refreshing. Best part, it is quite affordable!

Biossance Mineral SPF 45– I am a huge advocate for sun protection. If you ever encounter me at the beach I’m usually under an umbrella with sunglasses and a massive hat. But since I struggle with oily skin, it’s been very hard for me to find a sunblock that didn’t make me break out or felt like I have applied a layer of grease on my face. But then I found this little Biossance treasure! Its weightless formula feels exactly like an everyday moisturizer while protecting against UVA/UVB and infrared rays. It also works great as a makeup primer. Best part- never EVER leaves my face greasy!

Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer – This is my everyday moisturizer. It very light and works well with all skin types. Plus you just need about one pump per use so $25 goes a long way!

Pixi Glow Tonic– If you’re into tonics, this one is great! The Aloe vera soothes skin, preventing irritation that can come from exfoliating. I have found that the best form of application is to pour the product onto a cotton ball and then transfer it to desired facial areas.

De-Puffing Jade Facial Roller– I have seen so many bloggers rave about the benefits of jade rollers so I decided to try one out myself. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It removes puffiness and stimulates circulation. I like to leave mine in the fridge during the day so that it’s chilled for night time use!
